Grayson had been scribbling down notes as soon as DADA had resumed. Granted, she knew about Protego. She kind of thought everyone knew about that charm, but it was possible somebody might not. Probably the only reason she knew about it was because of her uncle, after all, and his lessons. But the other shield charms definitely intrigued her. He'd never told her about those.

Continuing to glance at the suits of armor every minute or so, she semi-ignored the professor telling the students who had suggested other spells. Obviously they weren't what he was after, so she figured she didn't need to think about them right now. But as he talked about transfiguration spells, her interest was piqued again. But there wasn't a chance to say anything, before he was teaching them the shield the head girl had talked about first. Ooh!, she thought as he cast, eyes widening at the visual aspect of the shield. That was kind of pretty, although part of her wished it was a different color.
