"James?!" Becca called out to her son as she handed Brian a wrapped packed with a grin.
"Mummy?" James ran into the living room, looking around for his mum. When he saw her, he ran to her and sat on her lap.
"Heeeey" Becca giggled softly as she put an arm around him, hugging him. "Now, birthday boy, because you're eleven, it's your big birthday. And daddy and I got you a big present we know you'll enjoy!"
James beamed happily and looked at mummy expectantly, wondering what it was.
"Here you go Jay." Brian gave him the thin wrapped package, grinning happily.
James ripped off the wrapping paper and shouted out "YES!!" excitedly. "OH MY GOSH! I LOVE IT!" he jumped on mummy and daddy, kissing and thanking them.
Becca giggled at James' reaction.
Brian shifted and hugged James, grinning excitedly. When he had James in his grip, he started tickling him. "You like it Jay? Lets go today!" Brian looked to Becca expectantly.
"Yeah! We'll get Aunty Sarah to babysit your brothers and sisters, and we'll go Go-Karting! James is going to beat his daddy!" she sang the last part teasingly.
"Yaaaay! I'm going to win!"
