Theodore watched the scene that was taking place in front of him. He was tempted to jump in. He probably needed to but they were all able to take care of themselves and he knew that very well. Plus he had his own issues to deal with.
Finally he heard Aleska speak. He listened to what she was saying. He knew that she was right, it was not possible to fight the ministry on this one. They just wouldn't win and he knew it. Was he content with that. Most certainly not. But he could also tell that she was angry and taking it out on him. He couldn't help but get a little upset in return. First this was not good at all and now she was taking it out on him. Yes it was safe to say that Theodore returned her anger. "What do I think? I think that this is all mad! Its an arranged marrige for Merlins sake." He let out. He didn't really answer her question but that was what he was thinking at the moment so that is what came out.
Theo followed Aleska's eyes over to her own boyfriend who was now paired with someone else. It would only be a matter of time before Reagan was as well. He turned back to her and could just make out how upset Aleska really was about this whole ordeal. As he heard her speak again he took in a deep breath. "Even if we chose to fight this we are going to end up married." He managed to say, the anger leaving his voice. He hated the fact but it was the truth and the only option.
Finally as he thought about it more he realized that Aleska was not the only one that should be asking this question right now. "Do you want to fight it" He asked her his voice much softer now and almost caring. It wa safe to say that Theodore was a gentleman and in the end this was not his decision alone. |
