Theodore watched as the Hat determined the fates of many relationships. He was worrying about his own relationship with Reagan now that he had seen what had happened to Ginny and Harry. But then the hat determined that Ron and Hermione were meant to be together. There that was it. He would end up with Reagan. That was for sure. They weren't meant to be together. He knew it, she knew it, and the hat would know it.
He was suddenly pulled from his thoughts as he heard the hat call out his name. Bloody hell, here we go. He turned back to Ginny once before he left. She was upset. He gave her a sympathetic look and got up and made his way to the front of the great hall. On his way his eyes quickly found his girlfriends and he gave her a wink. This was going to be okay as he told herself.
He made his way and sat down in the seat. He looked to Professor McGonagall and gave her a smile. He had always liked the professor even though he knew at times she was not too fond of him for he often acted up in her class. As he sat there the set the hat on top of his head. He waited... and waited.... and waited to hear Reagan's name. Finally he heard the hat speak and smiled yes! He had gotten Reagan right? But then he heard what the hat said. It didn't say Reagan... what had it said?? "Aleska Draganov" The hat called out. All of the sudden the smile fell from his face.
Aleska? What?! Aleska? Sure the two were kind of friends. I mean they were in the same house and everything but Aleska? No he was meant to be with his girlfriend of three years and then Aleska herself had a boyfriend for a couple of years now. This could not be right. He couldn't help but look over to Aleska, shock all of his face. Then he quickly turned to Professor McGonagall. "Professor, there must be some kind of mistake" He started to say.
"The decision is final, go sit down Nott" She told him. He relucntantly got up from the seat and made his way back to the Gryffindor table. He looked over to the Hufflepuff table on his way and noticed that his girlfriend was no longer there. She had left the Great Hall after the decision had been made. Then he let his eyes turn back to his own table, to Aleska. As finally reached the table his eyes never left her. He went and sat back down where he had been before, across from Aleska and Ginny. Finally he let his head drop into his hands, "Bloody hell" He mumbled shaking his head before finally looking back up again. |
