Dad said I’d be good at both. Are you trying out? I think you’d be a good chaser.” He said. She looked troubled, more jealous. He wanted her back, but he guessed she couldn’t bear going out with him again. He took her arm, hoping she wouldn’t pull away. “Reed, I just wanted to know if…” He paused. How was he going to put this? “If you still like me, because I kind of just wanted to be friends.” He blurted it out and hoped she wouldn’t run away crying.
