It wasn't like he was any good at dueling, after all. He who learns to run away, keeps on running other days. Or something like that. He laughed at Keltan's description of his own father, "But see, maybe your father actually wants to you reach adulthood. Sometimes... I wonder about mine."

"Well, I'm sure there are musicians all over the place," Kellen threw his arms wide to indicate the whole castle. "The trick is finding a piano. And hey... don't be embarrassed about the whole singing-along thing. You're over the voice-drop phase, so no worries there, and girls usually like boys singing. Well, most boys," he winked, "I prevent bleeding ears by keeping my warbling to the shower."

Kellen considered this shared trait of broom-suckage. And cheering. More as a joke than anything else, he casually pondered, "I wonder if Ravenclaw has a cheerleader squad. To help with team spirit and... stuff."
"Running away is a useful skill." Kel acknowledged. "And most dark wizards would probably be slower than a bear, too. You're lucky you have the practice." He was actually really enjoying himself. Kellen was pretty much the first male around his age that Kel had actually had a conversation with. It was kind of nice - when he was with girls, he had to worry about stuff like manners. And although he still had to do this with guys, he didn't have to be as careful. "Oh, I'm sure my father wants to keep me alive. But he's doing it in a rather boring way." Kel shrugged.

"That's what the Room of Requirement is for." he stated, smirking. "The piano, I mean." He half-smiled when Kellen told him not to be embarrassed. "I never thought about how girls liked it..." he mused, looking up at the canopy above his bed. Suddenly, he grinned. So that was why Jenn had been happy to hear him sing! It all made sense now. "Do you play any instruments?" he asked, realizing he hadn't asked that yet. Because, obviously, singing was out of the question. Nobody liked bleeding ears.

"Maybe we should organize a cheer squad," Kel suggested, also joking. "I'm sure I could find a few girls that would like to cheer." He shook his head, laughing slightly. "I'm sure it would at least boost up attendance at the matches..." Oh, yes. Most definitely.
