quill

Penelope listened intently to the instructions read aloud and then lifted the pamphlet provided. As she read through the report memories came flooding back of her days in Hogwarts, the lessons, the friends the sense of belonging to a house. She smiled then began weighing up the comments before taking a quill from her bag and beginng to write the following on a piece of parchment.

"I Penelope Clearwater feel agree to an extent with the comments presented by Prof. Umbridge. I feel that her evaluation of Professors Flitwick, Trelawney and Snape were most accurate and would agree with the points presented.

However when it comes to Professor Hagrid I think that given the reports of his lessons made by Umbridge compared to eye witness accounts tend to contain a lot of exageration. Rubeus Hagrid showed a lot of belief in his students and was a devoted teacher. He wanted them to enjoy his lessons and therefore sometimes intoduces species that aren't part of the cirucculum. In my opinion however he doesn't deserved to be fired. With some instruction and perhaps mentoring progress his teaching methods could be improved.

Professor Pomona Sprout; a woman that has educated many a witch and wizard during her time at Hogwarts. The report of her permitting foul language in class is simply exagerated as afforementioned by Prof. Umbridge. From other reports and my own memories the use of 'foul' language was forbidden, she was slightly more leniant when working with plants such as Mandrakes but would never permit 'foul' language. I believe that from reading files on her teaching methods and exam results over the last few years that she doesn't deserve to be fired as she cares a lot for her students and Hufflepuff house needs her.

Professor Trelawney in my eyes is the teacher that deserves to be fired of all. Her lack of control over her lessons and the terrifying yet monotonous predictions she makes aren't qualities that I would look for in a teacher. She may be compassionate but her lack of ability when it comes to Divination means that many Hogwart students fall short of the required grades for O.W.L's and N.E.W.T's. Hogwarts is a school with standards and these must be maintained. I believe that she has a place at Hogwarts but not in the teaching staff."
