"Are you shaking me, McArdle?" Tate cracked the slightest of smiles. They certainly had come a long way if the Department Head was now asking him to stay and encouraging him in his work. At their first meeting, she'd almost literally shot fire from her ears. He could still smell the smoke, although that might be his robes from the Floo travel.
"What does the Minister say about it? She circumvented the governors to put me into place in the first place." That wasn't a yes or no. It was merely acknowledgment that this was an interesting proposition.
