Sweet, Little [Un]truths


Narcissa Black stifled a yawn as she sat up, in bed; slipped her feet into her expensive slippers - expensive because they were topped with a snake-shaped emerald, each - and rose to her feet.

There was a tap at the window -- throwing open the pane, she let the owl hovering outside in, and accepted her copy of this week's Witch Weekly. A satisfied smile curved her lips, when she saw the woman on the cover - it was, clearly, she herself; the words, "Narcissa Black: Beauty and Brains," printed at the bottom.

With a smirk, she sat down to read.
