Before she could decide, he had pulled away. She opened her eyes and just stared at him unblinkingly, her brain had stopped functioning. With her free hand, she reached up and touched her lips. And then she reached out toward him slowly, her hand coming to rest on his neck.

And then she was kissing him again, her heart pounding violently in her chest as her mind screamed at her to stop.
