Filming took place on January 29th for
Deathly Hallows in the English town of
Lavenham in Suffolk. The town is home to such buildings as these (do note that the places featured in the image may not be shown in the actual film).

Although none of the cast was present for the filming, the characters of Harry Potter and Hermione Granger will be added through computer wizardry – meaning film fans will actually see the Warner Bros blockbuster's main protagonists appearing in Lavenham's streets.
Jane Gosling, manager of the National Trust-run Lavenham Guildhall, talked about the filming, which will feature Lily and James Potter's home in Godric's Hollow.
Quote:
"It was all very exciting. What the film-makers are going to do is turn parts of Lavenham into Godric's Hollow (a village featured in the book and film series) and the Guildhall will be Harry Potter's parents' house.
"It is all very clever. They filmed parts of Lavenham and will edit out any modern houses and bits they don't want digitally."
UPDATE: Below is an image of the house that will be used as the Potter residence. More images can be seen
here in our galleries.
UPDATE #2: New
information about the filming has been revealed, including the fact that fake snow was dumped on Market Place.
Quote:
“The film crew were planning to fly in a squadron of helicopters over the village to dump fake snow across the Market Place. In the end they didn't need to, the village was already covered in snow, which is quite ironic really.
“The crew visited several times last year and only myself and the parish council knew and we had to swear to secrecy. I was given a sneak preview of the Lavenham scenes and I have to say it is beautiful and really fascinating to see.”
Quote:
"They took still frames of the front doors in the village which will appear as picture frames in the movie that open to reveal further magical scenes inside.”
