Marcus could not count how many times he had come into this hospital wing carrying an injured student. He was starting to get a complex that people would think that he was doing something to the kids.
As he moved over to an area that had some vacant chairs, Marcus looked down at Destiny and spoke in a low voice. "Destiny? Sweetheart -" Oh good lord what was he saying? He cleared his throat and tried again, "Destiny, do you think you will be able to sit in one of the chairs or would you prefer to stay where you are?"
And they made it to the hospital wing. And Lawson was right, he did not drop her. He didn't even bump her head against a wall or anything. He was like a levitating children pro or something. Annnnd, that could actually be a bad thing. How many times did he have to do something like this? Destiny didn't really want to know. Hopefully this visit would be the first and last for her. Yep.
Not opening her eyes, Destiny wondered where Evelyn was at. Hopefully Truebridge was right behind them and just as careful with her..
She only opened her eyes when Lawson starting talking to her. Ignoring the whole sweetheart comment, since she really couldn't talk at the moment, she shook her head no. She wouldn't be able to sit in a chair, and she was mighty fine just how she was.
Maybe she would just close her eyes again and sleep for a little bit.
That sounded good.
