POTIONS 101: INTRODUCTION TO POTIONS
Potions Orientation Begins Tonight!
Please endeavour to arrive on time and prepared. I expect every student to bring the following supplies to every class without exception:
Standard Size 2 Cauldron
Glass Phials
Brass Scales
Standard Potions Kit
Magical Drafts and Potions text, A. Jigger
Introduction to Potions text, H. Slughorn
Dragon Hide Gloves
Standard grimoire or lab workbook
Sidney makes her way to potion class. Funny, she always enjoys this class even though you put your life into your own hands when you walk over the threshold. Sidney finds a workstation and sets about getting things ready for class. She place the two text books to the right of the potion stand and her journal on top of them. Sidney takes her potion kit, brass scales, dragon hide gloves and cauldron out of her bag. She places her gloves on top if her journal for the moment. The brass scales she puts slightly in front of and to the left of the potion stand. She puts her potion kit directly next to the stand and the box of glass phils next to it. Sidney places her cauldron infront of the stand. She runs her hands all over to outside of it. No cracks, indentations, or other adnormalities... Sidney sticks her head inside the cauldron. Darn! I can't see a thing too dark.
Sidney takes her wand out of its holster, performs the lumos charm and puts her wand deep inside her cauldron. Much better, let's see. I can't see any light coming in from the outside, so the cauldron has no holes or cracks. The surface looks good no discoloration or rust. That stuff I rubbed on it in Potions Labs really works. I think that covers everything. Sidney places her cauldron on its stand and waits for class to start. She looks around and wonders who will blow their cauldron up today. |
