Shudder.

Although, not to sound braggy or anything, he wondered why no one had asked him sooner. He was super good at this class! He reached into his bag and pulled out his protractor, then pulled out a couple of pieces of crumpled up graph paper before finding a clean, smooth one. "AHA! I knew I had a piece in here somewhere," he said with a grin. "I had extras from Arithmancy."

"Alright sooooooo we need to set the flashlight up..." he said. He quickly ran and got a flashlight from the ones that the Professor had provided and walked back. He examined it--ok, how did someone turn this on again?! If Torin could do it, he surely could...after a few moments of trying to figure it out, he moved to big black switch on the side and TADA! They had light!

"Ok so after I tape it down, what's next?" he asked. He grabbed the spell-o-tape and quickly taped it down on top of the desk.
Reese was rereading the instructions as Jack was digging through his bag trying to find a nice, smooth clean piece of graph paper. Okay, maybe following instructions wasn't as easy as she thought it would be. She ran her hand through her hair a couple times, and then she looked over at Jack who had just found a smooth sheet of a graph paper.

When Jack mentioned needing a flashlight, she opened her mouth to recommend using 'lumos', but the Gryffindor had already started towards the front to get a muggle flashing. She guessed that he wanted to try the muggle experience of this lab, which didn't bother her at all. As she waited for him to come back, she began to doodle a few little hearts on her paper, but she didn't get to finish her third heart completely before Jack came back. She sat her pen down on the table and watched as he tried to figure out how to turn the flashlight on, letting a few giggles out here and there. Was it really THAT hard to figure out how to turn one of those things one?

"Hmmm," she pondered as she looked back down at the instructions. "We have to tape the graph paper on a firm surface, like a book." After saying that, she dug through her own bag and pulled out her charms book. That would work, right? She took Jack's graph paper, and then she used the spell-o-tape he just used on the flashlight to tape the graph paper on her charms book. "There," she announced as she sat the book on the table.

"Now, we have to move it in front of the flashlight until a medium sized circle appears." She picked the book back up after reading the next step, and then she placed it in front of the flashlight and moved it back and forth until what she thought a perfect medium-sized circle appeared.
