He took the graph paper - making sure that it was held vertically - and put it at what he saw was the right starting distance. He was pretty sure that he was right at least. "This good, Miss G?" Gold nodded when Torin took the graph paper, and held it, the way it was said to, in the instructions.
"Wonderful, Mr. T."
She beamed at him as she spoke, then focused her attention back on to the flashlight and stuff. Making sure the flashlight in question was not out - she had not turned it off, after the last time she had switched it on, even though the desire to click it on and off, on and off, was pretty great - she picked up her fancy-topped quill and got down to work.
She began by drawing around the outline of the light that fell on the graph paper. It wasn't a very perfect outline, but it was good and - Gold hoped - would serve their purpose well enough. That done, she drew the line from the circle, too. Therrrre!
"No tilt," she said out loud, straightening up. "Mr. T, do you know how to use a light meter?" She was glad she had taken that muggle photography course, now. That did not mean she was perfect with stuff like this, though -- and that was exactly why she turned to Torin, now. "Wait, are you pureblood?" Because, if he was, then that would mean he probably did not even know what a light meter was.
"I mean, I wouldn't expect you to know how to use it, then," Gold said, frowning a bit. "Or if you're not that interested in photography...." she was talking to herself, now. Meh. Snapping out of it, Gold looked up again. Is it okay if I do the next step?" she asked him, politely. "If you want to use the light meter, I can hold the graph paper."
She would have to hold it exactly as - and where - he had, though. That could get a bit tricky, but Gold was sure she could pull through. "If not, I could measure the brightness and stuff, instead. Up to you, really."
She nodded, and smiled up at him. |
