Wanting to see if she could get Carter to smile she decided to change the subject. "So, I really don't know much about you other than your relationship status and that you are a Gryffindor who seems like a really nice guy. Tell me something interesting about yourself, what do you like to do for fun?" Maybe if he talked about something fun in his life she would get to see him smile.

Carter chuckled a bit. "No, not really. But that's alright. It's just nice to finally talk about it. Every time I try to talk about it with my other friends I just end up not being able to."

He then thought for a moment. "I don't know if there's anything too interesting. Let's see... my parents are muggle doctors... I have a little sister... umm... I live for muggle football. I wanted to play professionally. But I choose Hogwarts instead. Have you played before? I heard that they were learning how to play in muggle studies." He racked his brain for anything else he could think of. "And I play quidditch. I'm one of the chasers on the team." Yup. That was pretty much him in a nutshell.

"What about you?"
