He had done it. Cody had finally told Delanie that he loved her. After all the anticipation that had been building up, he had finally cracked through and said those three little words that meant the world to Delanie. Her arms snaked around his neck as she kissed him slowly, basking in the moment. When they broke apart, she was beaming. She took Cody’s hand and placed it on her chest so he could feel her thumping heartbeat.
“Why did you change the pace?” she questioned. “My heart was never meant to race.”
Cody smiled. “Just let it run, love.”
