Very good groovychick, 5 points to hufflepuff. World War 1 brought many changes. When the mean left women took over working in factories and began to gain more independance. Fashion changed radically too. Gone were the glamourous full skirts and women began to gain more choice in their dress. Skirts became narrow as mens pants grew. Some skirts were so tight at the bottom the woman could barely move. Men's pants at the bottom grew to 22", a dandy cuff. Men also often carried a cane. Shoes became very important at this time as they became more visible. The first "sneaker" was developed in 1917, something still around today, its called Keds.
