"Reese...do you remember anything about what happened to you?" he asked her, biting his lip almost as if he was scared to hear what she had to say.
As Reese continued to stare across the room at the wall, she opened her mouth to yawn, but just as soon as there was pressure on her stomach, she quickly closed her mouth and clutched her arms around her body. GAH, why did this have to happen to her?! Every move she tried to make caused some sort of pain to her poor body and the fact she really needed to yawn again didn't help the situation AT ALL.
When she heard Jack's voice, she slowly tilted her head to the side so that she could at least see her boyfriend a little bit better.
"No, I...I don't," she answered his question.
"The last thing I remember is..." What WAS the last thing she could remember? She pondered for a few moments before adding,
"The sleepover. I left - I left the...sleepover, and then I walked back into... the entrance hall. I can't remember anything between... those two times." It was pretty bad she had to stop every few seconds to catch her breath, which goes to show that she just
shouldn't talk too much since she had little energy left in her body.
She moved her attention away from Jack to look right back at the wall for a few seconds, then she diverted her attention to Torin who was now near Brody, and then she looked back at Jack. But mostly she was looking at the Head Boy badge on his robes. She raised her right hand, since that was the one that didn't hurt too much to move, and touched the area on her dirty pajama shirt that her Prefect badge would usually be at. The area was ripped like something had been ripped off of her shirt.
"My...badge," she whispered. She had been hoping that in the entrance hall when she first realized her badge was missing that she had just been dreaming that it wasn't there. But now she realized it was officially missing. She had lost her badge, which was bad bad BAD! What would Lupa think? Though, the badge should be the least of her worries since she was bleeding. Resting her head against the wall behind her, she closed her eyes.
This day could NOT get any worse than it was!
