With her eyes still closed, Mina heard the voices of her friends. She could actually reconginze them this time. Why was it hard for her to reconginze the other voices from tonight. The one that was crying was still fresh in her mind, she just wished she could remember who it belonged to. She knew it would be important.
Slowly, she opened her eyes to see it was Carter. She knew that voice anywhere. Trying to give him a mere smile, she winced. Some of her cuts were caked over but other still oozed a bit and some of her movements had irritated them. She must have looked a right mess to her best friend.
