But Raiden was occupied. Kiri followed the frown on his face... Oh, it was that Gryffindor that had got into trouble with Professor Lawson in Care of Magical Creatures. (She's the law, son.)
What had he done now? He had a knack for picking fights with the wrong people - first the professor, now Raiden; but this was a good opportunity for Kiri to get rid of some of her pent-up annoyance.

"Quiet," she hissed, glaring at the boy. "I'd like to hear the story." She smirked. "I know it might be difficult for you to concentrate, but some of us do understand big words."

Eyes flicking next to another voice rebuking the boy, he found Arya. Sitting with Mrs. Professor Lawson and Mr. Masterson. Which was just genius, seeing as... well they would handle it if the boy kept up his shenanigans. Good. He watched the girl turn back to whatever they were doing, glad that... well she felt secure enough in herself to stand up to an older student. Good girl, Arya was.

"Ignore him," he said firmly to Lina and Kiri, taking a deep breath to calm down the annoyance at the kid. "He's beneath you, if he keeps it up I'm sure Mrs. Professor Lawson and Mr. Masterson will give him an earful."

Er.

"Also... Lina, meet Kiri. Kiri, this is Lina." He gestured between the two, not sure if they'd actually met before or not. One could never know lately.
