So, now he had everything set up and everything measured and in its rightful place, he smiled to himself, nodding. He could do this... he just needed concentration.
Ice water in cauldron was already over the ice, so Jake needed to put in the icky bowels, and from then on be absolutely perfect with timing and stirring. He double-checked everything was ready and on hand, and then, holding the bowels over the ice water, he dropped them in and reached straight for the snake fangs after checking that every ounce of the bowels were in.
As soon as every speck of the crushed snake fangs were in the cauldron as well, Jake pressed a button on his watch which would make the second hand make a noise like a bell every minute since the button was pressed. Because he couldn't help himself, Jake started to count (in his head or the quill would record it) to seven minutes and stirred anti-clockwise simultaneously.

Fever-reducing Potion
Ingredients:
2 g willow bark (dried, crushed)
0.4 g snake fangs (crushed)
2 g horned toads (bowels)
1 porcupine quill
Instructions:
*note: portions of this potion are brewed on ice
1) place the bowels of horned toads in 500 mL ice water
2) add snake fangs and stir counter-clockwise for 7 minutes on ice
3) add willow bark and stir clockwise 5 times before placing over flame
4) allow mixture to boil for fifteen minutes then, remove from fire
5) stir clockwise for seventy seconds then, add porcupine quills and stir five times clockwise
6) allow potion to cool
