John Dawlish slammed his beefy hand down on the table, knocking his cup over.
“I’m ruddy telling you, he’s an animagus! It’s the only thing that makes any sense!”
Kingsley chuckled dismissively and shook his head. Dawlish scowled.
“Don’t you think that almost two hundred hours of interviews with housemates, friends and a string of bitter ex-girlfriends would have turned up some evidence?”
“We should bring Lupin in...”
“I questioned him. He doesn’t know anything. I put veritaserum in his tea.” Kingsley replied calmly.
Scrimgeour frowned deeply.
“I know you don’t like it but we know he’s being honest.”
