Baby, I'm never gonna leave you, say that you wanna be with me too, cause I'm gonna stay through it all so jump then fall. Well I like the way your hair falls in your face, you got the keys to me I love each freckle on your face. Oh..."
Nate whispered into her hair, "I love you so much. I just want the best for you and I want to be with you forever. I want to go on adventures and take pictures, and dance in the rain. I want my family to love you as much as I love you." He was certain she wasn't awake but it was so good to get it all out. He just couldn't tell her when she was awake.
As Nate began singing to her softly, she had to work her hardest to hide her smile because she knew he'd stop as soon as he realized she was awake. Listening to him sing made the words take on a whole new meaning to Cadence. This song was definitely about her and Nate. She had been so afraid to let herself fall, to let herself love him, but he had shown her that she didn't need to be afraid of anything with him. Still, there was one question nagging at the back of her mind. Was she going to be another Ella? Was he just going to love her until a new girl came along?
But this frequently prickling question was answered moments later as his whispers carried on them the sweetest words she had ever heard him say. Cadence couldn't continue to fain sleep after that, for tears of happiness had swum to her eyes. She looked up at him beaming as if he had just promised her the entire universe in a neatly wrapped present with a bow tied on top.
"Do you mean that?" she said, her smile extending to her voice.
