Fallon blushed slightly as Iris asked how long her and Patrick had been going out. "A little over a month." She was kind of caught off gaurd by her question.
Then, Iris left the room. Fallon went back to stacking the shelves. She wondered what had made Iris want to leave. She just shrugged her shoulders and started to sway along to the music, humming lightly as she did so.
Soon Fallon could hear voices talking over the music. One was Iris, who seemed to be scolding someone. She wondered if this was the grandson she was always talking about. The guys voice sounded completely familiar, but she couldn't place where it was from.
Patrick finished the first litter box. He let out a sigh as he realized that he still had three more to clean. He slowly pulled himself to his knees and headed back down the main hallway.
He peeked into the kitchen and only saw Fallon standing there. He raised an eyebrow, wondering where Miss Fitz Gerald had gone. Pat just shrugged his shoulders and walked towards the stair case.
When he got there, he saw Miss Fitz Gerald scolding someone. He just slipped by and headed upstairs to the next bathroom. He entered it and started to clean yet another litter box.
Coming back inside Iris looked at Fallon.
"Darling, would you do me a favor?" she asked with a smile as she remembered the trash needed taken out. She moved over to the sink and opened the cabinet below it. She pulled out a large trashcan liner.
"Will you go through the house and put all of the trash in this?" she asked, though it was more of a command.
"I'll finish up here. Don't forget that each room upstairs has a bathroom hooked onto it." Iris told Faith as she handed her the trashbag and gently pushed her towards the foyer.
She turned back and began humming again along with the radio. She began sorting through the cans again like she hadn't left her spot.
