This bed is way to comfortable not to sleep in." he said rolling off of her. He walked on his knees up to the top and flopped down onto a pillow. "Maybe we could cuddle? I know how much you love that." he whispered hoping she didn't hear.
Cadence giggled quietly.
"Yes, infinitely better than being alone," she sat up a little and gave him a soft kiss as he grabbed both of her hands. The moment that Nate mentioned the word nap, her eyelids suddenly felt much heavier. As he crawled away to get under the covers, Cadence followed him. She heard him mumble something about cuddling, and she smiled to herself, but pretended not to hear him as he obviously hadn't wanted her to hear it. Once she got to the top of the bed, she crawled under the covers and pulled them all the way up to her chin as she laid down very, very close to him. She made a point of not trying to cuddle with him, though. She didn't want him to get mad. If he wanted to cuddle with her, then he would.
Pulling the covers up to her nose so she was barely peeking out from the CloudBed's covers, she just laid there and looked at him, smiling, though he couldn't see it. Cadence couldn't remember a time when she felt this happy and loved and at peace. Even when her parents had been alive, she had constantly worried about where they were and if they were safe. She didn't have to worry about that with Nate because he was right here. She could have reached out and held him, but she didn't. As much as she just wanted to be encircled in his arms, she just laid there, extremely close to him, peeking out at him from the depths of the CloudBed.
