She flung her arms round him the moment he stepped in, and Marcus grinned.

"Well?" Alicia Spinnet-Flint asked.

"Well?" he replied.

She raised an eyebrow. "Marcus!"

"What?" He gave her a totally innocent look.

"You're supposed to tell me you love me!" she glared. "Or - or -"

"Or what?"

"Or I'll remind you of the time you got a T on your Divination OWL, and nearly sobbed your heart out!"

That wiped the smirk off his face, alright.
