"Mhm," Cadence replied quietly. She moved her hand up and began playing with his hair, rubbing her fingers gently against the top of his head. Her mind drifted, wondering about a thousand different things. Nate could have such a strong effect on her. With one touch, one breath, he could get anything he wanted from her, and he had to know that, he had to have realized it by now, and yet he never ever used it against her. She was glad that he wasn't like his parents; he was loving and affectionate, always putting Cadence before himself, and always the perfect gentleman. He had this odd way of always knowing what Cadence wanted and how to give it to her. Laying here with him was the best feeling in the world.

She looked down, opening her mouth to speak, and noticed that he had drifted off. "Nate?" she whispered. "Nate? Are you asleep? Should I go back to the other room?" she asked, waiting for a response. She couldn't fall asleep here. If his parents woke up in the morning and found both of them in this room, it would not be a good situation in the slightest.
