"'m fine," he mumbled, sparing a look at Professor Bunbury. "Everything's fine."

Not really quite like that, but... well he could fake it. Barry would only try to help, and... well enough people were involved. He'd even written to Plymouth about it...

"Actually we have four," he said to the younger girl as she approached. He didn't look the least bit sorry about that. He liked the people he was working with. "The professor said those without groups should go to the front and pick leaves from the plants up there."

He gestured toward the front of the room, giving the girl a nod before going back to what he was doing. Did they have enough? Surely there wasn't much more left on the plant, and they were only four... he paused, and eyed the leaves collected in front of Daphne.
