His eyes dropped on Kiri, and he almost thought to say hello, but his relief that she wasn't sporting injuries like these other students only prompted him to stare at her for a second before he heard Madiison's name being called.

"Come on, Madiison," he murmured, standing from his seat and waiting for the young girl to do the same. He should have said something, anything to Kiri, but... words were failing him at that moment. So he merely reached out and touched her shoulder as he passed her.
