Mina smiled back. She had been slightly worried about whether or not he would be one of the nicer Slytherins, but he seemed nice so her nerves were set at ease for the moment.

"I'm Mina and thank you." she moved to reach for her wand. Perhaps one day she would be able to do just as Raiden did with the wand. It was cool and everything. "Yeah, blocking I can do. Timing on the other hand, might not be my friend." she shrugged as she took a step back herself.

Raising her wand, she stood in a weak attempt of a dueling position. Thinking over her possible options, she let out a breath and flicked her wrist in Raiden's direction. "Rictusempra" Watching the spell leave her wand, she took another step back. She know her first attempt was a lame one, but before even waiting for it to make its mark, she raised her wand again and cast another. "Incarcerous"
