Ferris's smile faltered as Vianna spoke, explaining that this was, indeed, goodnight. He gave a weak smile, listening as she added more optimistically that they'd see each other the next morning. He didn't like this; they had never been good at goodbyes, and now that they had so little time, it felt even worse. "Early, early tomorrow morning," he said with a weak, amused smile. "The sooner the better." He took a step closer to her, gently tilting up her chin to plant a soft kiss on her lips for a warm moment. He broke apart a couple moments later, flashing her a smile, "Goodnight, Gem," he said before apparating to his upstairs bedroom.
