Perhaps not wearing a scarf hadn't been the smartest idea, now that she came to think of it.
The cold winter winds would turn your lungs inside out - and give you frostbites on your toes for good measure.
This time, however, Kiri was equipped more sensibly. Trudging down the path in the direction of Professor Lawson's hut, she wore heavy dragon-hide gloves (as instructed!), a large black robe fit for an Antarctic winter (old too, just in case today's creature turned out to be of the dangerous and/or fire-breathing variety) and a scarf (displaying Slytherin green and silver). That last item she'd slung around her neck three times.
"'ello, Professor," Kiri said, a little indistinctly through her stuffy nose, prodding one of the seats closer to the fire and sitting down.
"Hello Kiri," she greeted the Slytherin prefect. "Feeling a bit under the weather today dear?"

With his dragonhide gloves tucked into his back pocket, Jake strolled down to the area for this class, wishing he'd brought his cloak. Finding a seat close to Professor Lawson, and not tooooo close to the fire, Jake smiled at her.
"Hi," he said softly, staring into the flames.
Fire.
Wood.
Hmmmm.
"Afternoon Jake," she said. "Not too cold for you I hope. You had that awful cough last time I saw you."

"Hey Professor Lawson." Cute her teacher must have gotten married. After flashing a smile at the professor she sat down, tugging an elastic off of her wrist, and tying her blonde hair up.
"Hey Brody," she replied. "Cute shoes." She laughed quietly and then glanced down at her own
footwear. Yeah, who was she to talk?

"Good afternoon, Miss Upstead. There's plenty of seats still available," she said, wondering why she wasn't sitting closer to her little brother.

Magical Creature were scary. Oh, she remembered the classes from last term, and they were not fun.
The fire was welcoming though, so she decided to stay. She took a seat furthest away from whatever was on that table. It was, most likely, dangerous. 'Hellooo Professor..Morgan.' She would not call her Lawson, noooo way.
Iliana raised an eyebrow at Destiny and cleared her throat. "It's Professor
Lawson now dear. Good to see you."

"Good afternoon, Lucy!" she said, happy to see an actual smile in return for a change.

Running the supple leather through her hands, she turned her head this way and that trying to take in everything. Happy to see that there was a warm fire, she made her way to a seat that was close to it.
Giving the professor a little wave with her gloves in the air to show she had come prepared, Ivory set herself down for some learning.
“Hello, Professor!”
Her eyes darted from the professor to the large, covered object behind her on a wooden table. Having always been curious as well most eleven year olds were she couldn't wait to see what was under it.
Would it be something dangerous? Something cute and furry? or wet and slimy? Was it something that was alive or just something that they would use to get close to something that was reeeaaly alive?
Her mind was racing with the possibilities.
"Hello, Ivory," she said. "It's good to see you."

She pulled her cloak around her and hoped some of her friends come to class.
Hello Kay, I'm doing great," she answered. "Thank you so much for asking." Ahh! A kid with manners. Always nice to see.
