Ivory having just noticed Allison not so covert movements felt the guilt well up. In all her attempt to not single out the Hufflepuff for blame, she'd forgotten about how she'd phrased her words. Immediately, she felt like slapping herself.
In her mind she mimed her voice in an overexaggerated falsetto, Sir it was in fact Peeves, although it'd be a blatant lie if you weren't aware of the fact that some would say he was provoked by us towards the end causing most of what you see. Some of us...well we shouldn't have answered some of his questions. We should've known no good would've come from it. Gosh what had she been thinking...
Seeing Raiden smile her way, she passed the small bottle of Mrs. Scower's Magical Mess Remover with some cloths to Allison so she could deal with any other boogies and gum on her person.
Biting her lip, she decided to try to fix her meaning, she continued.
"That is to say sir that when I say 'we' I do not mean everyone, actually," she grimced wearily, "it was just some... a few." She had half a mind to shout 'And it wasn't even me or Allison or Raiden' but she doubted the professor, in the state of mind he was in, would take to kindly to excuses. And besides from what she knew of this man he had ways of knowing exactly who'd done what and where and even with what. Sort of like an expert Clue player. She tried not to let the smile that this thought evoked show on her face...Kazi would probably think she was laughing at the situation...which she was so not doing.
