Coughing another time, Jake was a little torn; he waited for a few minutes after Ashford had left, before he jumped down from the bed as qqqquuiiiietly as he possibly could.
Grabbing the note from the table, Jake shoved it in his pocket and slung his bag over his back, swaying a little as he stood there. Diiiiiizzyyyyy...
"Okay," the boy muttered to himself and crept back across the room. Sure if he got injured again soon, he'd definitely have to take more of that nasty stuff... but he'd just have to try his luck. Hoping the Healer wasn't outside, Jake crept outside the room...
... and sneezed.
The door to room two opened, and Gabriella made her way back out into the hallway. She was about to walk into room one to see to Jake when a figure heading in the opposite direction caught her attention.
*ahem*
She cleared her throat loudly to get the attention of the boy who was currently trying to make a sneaky escape. She should have
known not to trust him to stay put!
"I'm guessing you're heading off to get a quick drink of water, Mr. Upstead? I just can't believe you would sneak away from me after I asked you so politely to stay," she said, leaning against the wall and giving the boy a slight frown. The toe of her left shoe tapped lightly against the floor while she waited for him to turn around and come back. She should dock points for this little escapade. Really, she should.
