Sam wouldn't call this snooping. He would call it more like curiosity.

He stopped at the door of one of the offices and read the sign on the door that said 'Accidental Magic Reversal Squad'. Was this the place Wes said he had previously worked in? He did believe it was. Taking a quick glance around the hallway, he opened the door and walked inside.

Where was everyone? This place was completely empty!

He carefully looked at every desk in the office until he noticed one that had the shiny nameplate on it just like the one in his office. Slowly, he made his way over there to read what the nameplate said.
