Was he afraid of the wizard who'd killed his parents along with so many other innocent, good people? Was he afraid of the wizard who had more than enough power to destroy everything and everyone he cared about and who was more than willing to actually use that power?
"No," he finally decided. "I'm not afraid of Voldemort." Because he knew of another, more powerful wizard who was on Harry's side: Dumbledore. And as long as he had Dumbledore, there was no reason to be afraid of Voldemort.
Tariana's eyes trailed across Harry's face while he was quiet. She wondered if he'd answe her, and right when she had that thought, he did. She wasn't surprised by his answer.
"Good," she responded.
"You have no reason to be. I have faith in you; I know you'll rid the world of him someday." Smiling at Harry, she stepped back slightly, giving him room to breathe.
