Tiberius felt his cheeks flush. Explain? Sometimes, when he thought about it, he couldn't quite explain it to himself.
Turning to face the two girls, he looked down at his shoes. "I.. me and... some other students and I... he stammered, nervous. "We tricked Professor Kazimeriz into coming out of his office so we could drop balloons of swelling solution on him.. and.. and.. " What else were they going to do? "And then I yelled at him in class."
Sufficiently mortified, Tiberius rubbed his right eye with a fist. "But, I still don't know why I did it..." he whispered, more to himself than anyone else.
