Gulp.

"Hhhe cccalled me suhhh-slime. I'm nnnot sssslime," the boy whined, just for the sake of whining really. He was finally getting some attention from Lawson and he wasn't having to share it.

Hearing that Muggle sports was the theme for the whole year, Jake tried hard not to bury his face and whimper. All he needed was to have a lesson with equipment like a beater's bat. Ouch. So Jake didn't respond, he just let his lower lip tremble slightly.

This home thing really wasn't working for him. Why was everyone so keen on him staying? The boy hung his head slightly (which hurt) and sighed."I'll guhh-give it one muhh-mmmore year," he said simply. Anymore deaths or staff changes or crazy people or blackouts or floods or mysterious runes or mirrors and Jake was out.

Though it was a shame... Since...

"I mmmmanaged muhh-magic..." the boy murmured, half to himself, a little smile on his face.
"Of course you're not slime Jake" Marcus replied giving Jake a pat on the shoulder. He realised that he was going to have to sit down with Jake and have good old man to boy talk. Joshua is only a second year and Jake was in his fourth year. The Huffie should not be scared of that Gryffindor.

Well at least he had managed to convince Jake to stay on at school for another year. When he heard what the boy said next, Marcus almost let a huge whoop of joy. "You did? Really? Jake that is awesome news. I'm really proud of you." And man he so was. Marcus had been getting very worried indeed about Jake's lack of magical ability.

"And which class did you manage to do this in?"

His eyes widened as Lawson mentioned muggle sports all year. "Um Sir. I was wondering if there was a lesson for people that aren't physically inclined?" Like me
Turning at the sound of Dylan's voice, Marcus gave the Slytherin an apologetic look. He had almost forgotten the boy was sitting there as well.

Would it be inappropriate to laugh at that statement? Most probably. So Marcus bit the inside of his lip and kept his composure. "Well I am sure there are sports that don't require any physical exertion. Um...there's golf or I could maybe set up a mini golf course. How does that sound Dylan?"
