Nevern Place Nevern Place Nevern Place is located in Earls Court which is a district in the Royal Burough of Kensington and Chelsea in London. It is close to such attractions as Charing Cross and Earls Court Exhibition Centre, one of England's largest indoor arenas and concert venues. Nevern Place is also in walking distance to Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park.
Ronan Cavanaugh has recently purchased a flat in this thriving section of London and has adapted relatively comfortably with being surrounded by Muggle neighbors. It is newly refurbished to meet the fashionable standards of a modern homestead and Ronan finds it quite suitable for his own style. Since he has just finally put away all the moving boxes, Ronan has not had a chance to welcome friends and kin into his new home and therefore offers greeting to anyone who calls on him first, for he is very busy at work with a top secret project in the Department of Mysteries and would not want to give his guests the idea that he would not like to have them over. Having given an invitation to his father, Owen Cavanaugh, the elder man has decided to pop by for a visit very soon, perhaps in the next few weeks. Ronan would also like to get the chance to entertain his girlfriend, Pandora Fortunea and perhaps introducing her to the entertaining places near where he lives, such as the Troubadour, which is a well-liked coffee shoppe or Finborough Theatre.
Along with the new house, Ronan purchased a cat from a local animal shelter. He has a rather great respect for Lancelot, the brave mythical knight from the times of Camelot and so, the cat was duly named after him. Rooms: Entrance Hall
One enters the apartment through a communal entrance hall located in the main part of the building. Stepping into the apartment, there is a telephone on a little table placed to the right of the door which Ronan hasn't even tried to figure out. Bathroom
Directly in front of the door is the flat's single bathroom. It is all tiled, floor to ceiling and includes a white porcelain tub, wall mounted shower attachment, and a matching sink and toilet. It's a little dirty for lack of cleaning on Ronan's part, probably because of a lack of a woman's touch as well. Master Bedroom
To the left of the bathroom is the Master bedroom. It comes complete with modern furnishings, bay windows looking out to the busy street below, and a fireplace. Ronan keeps a television in his room because he admittedly enjoys watching a few of the Muggle shows. Having the fireplace is good for days where he doesn't want to move from his bed and he can just lay there with Lancelot by his side and a good book. Second Bedroom
To date, the second bedroom in Ronan's flat has not been in much use except for excess storage for things he hadn't found spaces for. He has a rather eclectic source of music that he has collected over his travels, and his old record player and sound system are kept neatly in the far corner on the unused desk. Kitchen
Down the hall from the bedrooms is the kitchen which Ronan hopes to remodel because he absolutely despises the aqua and white tiling that the previous owners had circling the walls. There are all the basic appliances that Ronan has barely broken in, preferring takeout or eating at work. Reception Room
This room is Ronan's second favorite of the flat, the first being his bedroom. There are two rear aspect French doors that lead out to the garden, and side aspect windows, as well as a skylight. He loves to sit in this room at night and watch the television while surrounded by the lights illuminating from the garden, and above, from the stars. Garden
The garden is about 40 feet in diameter, part paved, part wooden decking, and part lawned. It consists of numerous shrubberies, trees, and flowers. Ronan recently planted a white rose bush by magic in the far corner of the garden in honor of Pandora who is his 'Rose' as he refers to her. The Hallway
The hallway of Ronan's flat is decorated with different artistic pieces from his travels abroad for ten years. He looks on these and thinks of all the fun and exciting adventures he had as a younger man. Quote:
