Bludgers... yes. They were painful. Luckily the one had only grazed him this summer; a quick turn had saved him from getting the entire left side of his face smashed up. Still, the clipping had hurt worse than catching them in the stomach... which he'd done often...
His dad hadn't seemed very worried over his health this past summer. Not as much as before. Which made Raiden wonder if he knew at the beginning of the summer, that Raiden was pretty much better.
Focuuuuuus.
"They hurt a lot. If they catch you full on? Probably crack your skull, at least." Wince. "And if you catch it in the face, you can kiss your straight nose goodbye. Much better to catch them in a more solid part of your body. Best is your stomach. Long as you didn't eat like a pig before that..."
He glanced around at the others. The little one was still sniffling a bit. She said she'd bumped her head, but she'd seemed okay, for the most part. Probably just a little bitty bump. The Hufflepuff was... she had butterflies. Obviously she was okay. And the other Ravenclaw girl seemed alright, except she looked like she was favouring her side... got the wind knocked out of her, maybe?
"They all look okay. The uh... the Hufflepuff one might've twisted her wrist, and the little Ravenclaw one's still sniffly..." He looked at the Hufflepuff. "You're okay, right?" |
