Annie smiled back to Lucille, giving her a thank with just that gesture, though it was always a good manner to say it. "Thanks for trying to make this a bit less...complicated..." She told her, walking towards the brownie basket. Taking Lucille's offer, Annie took a brownie and took a bite, suddenly feeling happy. Probably the whole chocolate effect.
"...my journal is missing." So, she blurted it out. Nice job, Annie.

Her journal was missing. Well that was NOT good. NOT GOOD AT ALL. Lucille thought. She stared absently around her, bit into a brownie and scatched her head with an index finder (the one that she HADNT squiiished on the monkey bars.)
"Hmmmm..." she said, head cocked to one side. She scratched a little more. "Hmmmmm..." Slowly she said, "Your journal is missing? With, like, your secrets and stuff in it? Your heart poured into the pages and all that?..."
Pause..
Blink, Blink.
"WELL THEN WE GOTTA GET IT BACK!!"
People could do ANYTHING with a journal!! People could know EVERYTHING about her!! The thought made Lucille shudder.
"Any suspects?" she asked, taking out a parchment and quill from her bag, poised to write like a detective.
