Jacob opened his mouth to reply when suddenly, she was gone. Off to feed. He was worried about her though, so he took off after, changing into his wolf form and dashing into the woods. He followed her scent until he reached her, it appeared she just finished her meal. He dropped down on the ground next to her, he was more of there as a comfortable presence.
Once Jacob sat down next to Tariana, she immediately pulled off her hood and leaned into his giant side, her face rubbing against his fur. He was so comforting. Closing her eyes, she stayed where she was for a long time, silent, as if she had fallen asleep. Her breathing became even.
"Maybe coming here wasn't such a good idea...," she murmured softly, sadness oozing off her words.
"Perhaps we should just go home, where we can be weird and different all we want to and not have to suffer because of it." Leaning all the way back, she let her head rest on Jacob's stomach as she laid down, looking up between the tree branches to see the stars in the sky. She curled into his side, her eyes still closed.
