Sidney isn't thrilled she going be using her wand again. First there was a spider I had to try and perform the Cruciatus Curse on. Now this teacher wants me to create butterflies out of thin air. When do I get to do just some simple charms like opening a door? Professor Duskurk said we couldn't do the Cruciatus Curse because we needed more practice doing magic. I guess I could practice creating butterflies. There are so many in the room already. I doubt the professor can tell who created whom.

Sidney waves her wand around a few times. The she tries it with the incantation. "Papilio," and then she waves her wand. No butterflies come out of her wand. Sidney tries it three more times with the same result. What am I doing wrong? I'm using the right incantation and wand movement, so why aren't I getting butterfies? Oh yeah, Professor Pilliwickle said I need to visualize the butterflies I want to transfigure. There aren't many butterflies in the Carpatian Mountains. I loved the butterflies in New Zealand. I used to sit in our garden and watch them. Sidney closes he eyes and thinks about being back in the family garden in New Zealand. She sees her favorite butterflies flying around her. "Papilio!" Sidney waves her wand and thinks about the beautiful blue butterfies fly out of Sidney's wand and fly around her. "I did it! I really did it!" Sidney watches her butterflies fly around. They make her home sick. "I wonder if I can do it with Monarch butterflies. They are so beautiful too. Orange and blue would be lovely flying together." Sidney closes her eyes and thinks about Monarch butterflies. It take a while, but Sidney visualizes one of them in her mind too. She raises her wand and says: "Papilio!" She waves her wand around. Beautiful Monarch Butterflies fly out of Sidney's wand. She watches them fly around and join the other butterfies in the room.
