"The older students should be able to conjure butterflies non-verbally," she giggled, unable to wait much longer. "Let's see what you can do!"
Reese let out a soft 'aww' when the purple butterflies came out of Miss Picklewickle's wand. Wait, that wasn't her name... Oh, well. She'll just the Professor's name right sooner or later.
She picked her wand back up from her desk and was about to say the incantation until the Professor said something about the older students being able to do it non-verbally. Hahahaha, was she kidding? By the look on her face, she wasn't. Gulp.
After staring at her wand, she decided it was best to try to the spell using her voice, then try it non-verbally. She nodded at her decision, then she gave her wand a little swish as she clearly said, "
Papilio." Just as those words came out of her mouth, a few blue butterflies came out of her wand. Ohhh, pretty! She tilted her head at the butterflies and grinned. Hehe. She loved butterflies!
Right, now she had to try it non-verbally. She straightened herself up in the chair as she gave her wand a little swish and mentally said that incantation in her head, but nothing happened. She pouted a little bit. After a minute of staring at the emptiness of the area around her, she closed her eyes and then gave her wand another swish and mentally said the incantation. Once she opened her eyes again, there were blue butterflies around her.
She did it!
