Real old people were cool – with their toffees and trousers and slippers and bus passes and odd shoes and those perms they had... phew.
“Hello, Professor.” He said in greeting, and wandered off to take a seat next to... Miranda. He sat without a word to her.
She was just taking out her notebook and muggle pen, when she sensed someone sit next to her. She smiled at the person before knowing who it was and then her smile faltered a little as she saw it was Oliver. Miranda waved at him akwardly, and hoped they were not going to be practicing on eachother. He would turn her into a rodent, fo sho.

For a short moment, she just stared at all the little faces before her. All ready to learn!!
"Now, before we begin properly.. who can tell me WHAT Transfiguration is? Your own definitions." She hadn't really done much planning. Or maybe she had and she'd just forgotten what she'd planned already? Either way, THAT seemed like a good question to start with!
Miranda raised her hand.
"Miss, Transfiguration is when you turn something into what it is not." Errr?
"You sort of...change their properties. Like a chair - you can make it walk, when really...it's designed to stand still..." She made a face at the end, knowing that must've sounded...weird.
