Not wanting to get hit in the head, or worse, her face, Marie knew that she would probably put her arms up to protect herself. Then it hit her what he said, you can use every part of the body except the arm area. Looking at him she asked "Are we suppose to hit the ball with our head?" 'I'm not letting a ball hit me in the head,' she thought as she rubbed her head as if she had already been hit.

"Oh sorry, red and yellow cards. So the first yellow card is like a freebie but the second yellow is basically a red?" Thinking about this for a minute she suddenly says, "Wait, violence gets an automatic red! I thought you said there was no violence in this game? So much for that huh," she said with a little giggle. Then looking at him she said "Have you ever had a red card for violence?" She couldn't picture him being violent at all, then again looks could be deceiving. She never pictured Rex being mean when she met him, then he turned on her and her house on the train.

'Watch a match with Evan? Does this mean he wants to spend more time with me?' she thought. Guess there was only one way to find out, just ask him. "So you are willling to take all this time to teach me about this game? You don't mind giving up your time for me?" She knew she didn't mind giving up her time for him, not that she felt like she was giving anything up. "Watch matches, how are we going to do that? They don't play football anywhere around here do they?" Yep, this was definately going to be her favorite sport if it meant spending time with Evan.
Evan shrugged like it was so obvious. "Yes, you hit it with your head." He chuckled when she rubbed her head. "Actually, you'd be surprised to hear that heading is very effective. Usually, balls come high and it's head's job to nod it down, or towards goal." And just like Marie, not many footballers could or would head it, and that made a difference in important matches. He too could never learn how to direct the ball with his head, even though he practised. Sigh. That was his only weakness.

He thought what she said. "Not exactly a freebie..." he said hesitantly. "Because after collecting 4 yellow cards in different games, you pick up an automatic ban for the next match." Now, rules were getting complicated and detailed, but also more fun to watch and comment on. "But I also said it happens rarely." he said and winked when she giggled. Only some very stupid players did it, and big teams didn't keep them anyway. He giggled. "Not a direct card, but I've collected two yellow cards once. I've argued with referee when he'd awarded the opponent a penalty. And at the second occasion, the opponent were counter-attacking and I had no chance but to foul to stop him." He smiled at the memory. It had been an enjoyable match, even though it ended with draw. He then added as if a second thought. "That wasn't a violent foul, just a normal one. He was going for a goal, and that was why I was shown a yellow card." How he wished he was at those times again, playing football for such a big team like Liverpool, very close to being 'wonderkid'. He shook his head sadly, then came back to real world with Marie's question.

He looked at her in disbelief, as if he was heartbroken with such a meaningless question. "Of course I'd love to spend time with you and teach football." She was beautiful, clever, talented, enthusiastic and seemed to like spending time with him. Maybe he couldn't give the impression that he liked to spend time with her too. Anyways, another question which made him smirk like he knew a big secret. "Know the room of requirement? As it has the ability to turn into anything you want, say, we'd like it to turn into a TV room with HD TV that has the League. How would that sound?" Thanks to Beaumont, her only favour to him was that. Since then, he had been watching most of the matches which were between their allowed free time.
