So I have hit the mark. Chaucer, my love, you have sharply identified the elusive root of romance! Perhaps Sabel would have spoken on his own accord, but this was too slow for Chaucer who instead voiced: "This is Sabel. Fine gentlemen, proud to say I know him! Brave too apparently, but we haven't seen that yet. Be sure we will!... or.. don't as I can't exactly predict that sort of thing." He couldn't exactly think of anything to say that wouldn't completely enrapture this Choluna, so he decided to take a bit of a step back. "Allison! You were saying how your family is part of a muggle-based chocolate operation? How I ADORE chocolates!" He smiled boyishly. Quote:

What also added to Allison's annoyance was the way she stared at Sabel and even Chaucer and seemed to ignore Allison's presence completely. Raising her voice slightly Allison cut between Sabel and the girl's stare towards him--thinking she was saving Sabel and said, "Allison Scott! So niiiiice to meet you!" She stretched the word.
If Sabel was right about Chaucer's planning, she hoped to Merlin it was a way of helping her save Sabel. "But I have yet to find the shower head." Sabel pouted as Chaucer removed the bag from his hands. And then he blinked at Chaucer. "A fine gentlemen by your standards or normal standards?" He had to ask; there was definetly a difference.
Blinking at Allison's rather prolonged introduction, Sabel cast her a quizzical and confused gaze before looking at the new girl, giving her a smile. "Hey. Sabel Dakest." He motioned toward an empty seat with Chaucer's brush, still held securely in his hand. "There's plently of free seats around." He waved the brush a little, flourishing it. So this is what it felt like to make Chaucer's hand motions; it felt as if he was weilding a king's sceptre. |
