Chewed-Up Gum Can Lead to Dinners


Her eyes narrowed - there was a wad of sticky gum in her bedroom-keyhole, and Gold knew who was behind it.

She looked at the gum -- wished she could perform a little Waddiwasi for good riddance -- then turned round, marched into the dining room, and grabbed him by the collar.

"Ouch, Green, what the heck -" Zeeshan cried, wrenching himself free of the fiery fourteen-year-old's grip. "What's the matter, reddo?"

"If you even LOOK at my room, once more, I will -"

"Beg you not to?" he asked, with a grin - but he rubbed his neck as he spoke and that, at least, gave her some small measure of comfort.

"What is your problem, Shani?" she demanded. "Why the heck can't we get along, for once -"

"Dinner?" he asked, lazily. "Veggie-Eater, seven o clock this eve?"

She raised an eyebrow. "Why in the name of Merlin's CAT, would I want to dine with you?" she demanded.

"Because I'm hot," he replied casually. "Not to mention, you want us to get along. I am ... attempting to show you that, that -- isn't possible."

He grinned, left the room.

Gold wanted to HURL something at him.
