"It really is a shame you aren't in Slytherin - I could use another with a debonair flair. I really don't get what the fuss is about. Everyone says my house is pretentious and snooty and cruel, but I've yet to come across anyone there who acted thus. It's a little boring, I was expecting more conflict." Whether this was true or not was up in the air, for Chaucer only gave one of his typical melodramatic expressions that concluded nothing.

"How has this stone labyrinth treated you?"
'Me boy?' There was only one person who would call him that, not to mention in that tone. Sabel swivled his head around and blinked in the style of a startled owl; his excuse, it was still early. And being of such a time, he didn't understand how the Slythering that approached the table had so much energy, not to mention was so sharply dressed. His mind caught on that last thought; it was Chaucer. If that boy wasn't dressed fashionably and proper he was pretty sure it would spell the end of the world. Or at least the end of Hogwarts.

Scotting over on the bench to allow the Slytherin room to sit down he gave him a smile interrupted by a large yawn. Clamping his mouth shut he hoped the other boy didn't believe he was yawning at his speech, though in truth he had missed a few words in his still hazy state.

Shaking his head he resumed petting Perseus as he used his other hand to pick up the water pitcher and pour a glass for Chaucer. "Like Howl's moving caste. Never really know what to expect." He glanced over as he offered the water. "Then again things have started to quiet down. I hear you though. Gryffindor doesn't have much in the way of happenings either."
Shrugging one shoulder he gave a tired smile while stffling a yawn. "So how have you been?"
